Rock the Veterans and the Vote!

Veterans Day is one of those holidays where schools have off but often, our children do not know the significance of this day.  If they do, it is not one of the flashier holidays so it sometimes receives less attention. This year, make this day as important as any other holiday that you celebrate. After all, we are celebrating those who risk their lives every day for our freedom. If your children are young, the discussion of war is a fine line. It is our job as parents to tell them what we feel comfortable with depending on their age. However, every child should be told that there are men and women whose job it is to make our country feel safe and free. Continue reading »
