When I grow up
I love the entire Bachelor franchise. The drama, the screaming, the crying. My husband and I can’t get enough.
I laugh as the current “chosen one” weeps, telling the cameras that they are in love with two people, they cannot decide between these two amazing men or women.
I have the same problem, except I am actually in love twice. However, it is not with people, it is with my careers. When I first entered a classroom, I fell in love. I never thought I could love anything more. Then, I started writing and I fell in love again. I couldn’t be happier.
As my writing develops, I look for mentors, blogs I love, writers I want to emulate. My 3 Little Birds is one of my favorites, as is its writer, Mary Lauren. Her latest post is just amazing; I relate to her journey to become a writer, though she is much more advanced than me. I relate to her journey of being a mother, though I am two children behind her. Please read her stories, her insights are incredible and her words are inspirational to say the least.
Though we are quite close in age, she is wise beyond her years. When I grow up, I want to be just like her …
